The Charlie Boone Trails Memorial Foundation has been created by Charlie’s family to build a Bike and Skateboard Park in his memory. From the time he was big enough to ride and skate, he knew he had found his ultimate passion. We are asking for your help to provide a place where people of all ages can come to relax and unwind. Our vision includes walking trails, sitting areas, a cement riding & skating structure and dirt jumps (Charlie’s favorite!). This park will be a place to build friendships and make memories, as Charlie and his friends did. For our family, knowing we are helping others to have the same opportunity is our goal and our privilege.

Our family began working in the spring of 2014 to raise awareness of the need for a local skate park in the Lake Ridge Community of Woodbridge, Virginia, located in Prince William County. The young people who currently ride in the streets and parking lots in our neighborhoods need a safe place to ride and where they can feel that they are a part of the community in which they live. When kids are skating and biking where they shouldn't be, it can be dangerous for everyone. Tragic accidents have occurred in our area as a result. We also hope to provide a safe and positive recreational environment for teens and young adults coping with the difficulties of depression/anxiety and to help prevent the rise of teenage suicide and self-harm.
